CC6 at Badger Farm

A rare morning where it didn't actually rain saw 17 NFRs head up the M3 to Winchester for another superbly organised CC6. The 4.2 mile course was a mixture of hills, mud, more hills and more mud !! Russell Wynn was our first man home in 14th place, just ahead of Steve Wardle (17th). Andy Chase (31st) just pipped Jimmy Elenis (32nd) to help the men's team to a 5th place finish.

The under 11s girls had one lone runner Gracie Hawkins, who finished in a very respectable 12th place, an excellent start to her running career.

HRRL Race #4 - Gosport Half Marathon 2015

Only 2 weeks after the Lordshill round, the Gosport Half Marathon presented highly contrasting weather. Strong westerly winds were gusting off the sea made the outbound legs of the 2 lap course, along the top of the Lee-on-Solent seafront, very challenging! We all congregated at the start line in Browndown road and following a few encouraging words from the mayor of Gosport and a minutes silence, in remembrance of the Paris terrorist attacks two days previously, the hooter sounded and we were off.
